I’m Maranda!
I’m a portrait & wedding photographer serving the NC/VA area (or wherever the love is). It is my mission to create images for you that you can look back on for decades to come and create a space for you that feels comfortable, authentic and inviting while we are working together. I know having photos taken can seem intimidating or stressful, but it doesn’t have to be! I love keeping my sessions fun and letting your love do the talking and I provide you with all the information you need to be prepared for your session or big day!

When I think about updating family photos, it’s more than just snapping a few photos.. I want you to remember exactly what your babies and you as parents were like during this season of your lives. I want you to look back at these images and think what a precious time it was and be able to see all the little tiny details of who they were and are so they are never forgotten.
A wedding is one of the biggest days of your life! So let’s make sure you have it documented exactly how you want it to be. I take a documentary approach to capturing your wedding day and set aside time for you to include the beloved posed portraits as well. In my opinion, there is no need to choose between a documentary photographer and an editorial photographer when you can have BOTH! That’s how I strive to capture your wedding day.
Portrait sessions can range for anything from a fresh 48 session to senior portraits. These sessions are for anyone who wants photos, but you don’t fit into the wedding or family categories. In my opinion, any and ALL seasons of life are worth documenting and that’s why I pride myself in not committing to one specific type of photography!
